precigeoSolar™ Overhead Imagery Service
precigeoSolar offers solar energy professionals a highly cost effective, fast, and accurate service for acquiring a solar roof analysis.
The process is simple – all you need to do is provide us with the address of the property, and we take it from there. As with the precigeoRoof service, the process starts by geocoding the location of the property and constructing a 3-D model of the roof and obstructions.
The analysis requires both specialized software and, as inputs, the constructed 3D model of the home and the objects impeding the sunlight (obstructions). The end result is a visually appealing and highly intuitive insolation map that informs the reader, for a given timeframe, what’s hot and what’s not.
The final deliverable includes a roof schematic, a spreadsheet detailing the roof face information measurements, a detailed solar insolation analysis – broken down by month, and a tabular file (Excel format) of the roof shading and insolation. The shading and insolation tables can be delivered in formats compatible with onsite measuring devices such as Pathfinder or Solmetric.
